DestinationStone Mountain Wine Cellars and Hidden Still Spirits

 

 Meeting Location: Twin Grove Campgrounds

 

 Meeting Time:  10:00 a.m.

 

Cost:  Winery TBD/Distillery tour is free.  Lunch will be on your own.

 

Description: “Wine is Fine but Liquor is Quicker” cruise to local winery and distillery. Jersey Acre Farms has been producing grapes for other wineries since 1999. In 2004 they were licensed as a winery and produce under their own Stone Mountain Wine Cellars label. Their wines are sold exclusively at Jersey Acres Roadside Market.  Hidden Still Spirits is located in the heart of Lebanon County PA, and continues the long history of distilling spirits which can be dated back to 1753.  The name "Hidden Still" itself is derived from how the process of distilling spirits had been conducted many times throughout history. Lunch will be on your own at the distillery following the tour. Meeting Time:  7:00 a.m. at Twin Grove to head up for Group Photo

 

Cost:  $7 per person Park Admission/Optional $8 per person Safari Tour

 

Description:  Following MEB group photo, we will depart at approximately 9:30 a.m. for a scenic country cruise to our destination.Since 1965 Lake Tobias Wildlife Park has been fascinating patrons with its wild, exotic animals and adventure-seeking safari tours. The late J.R. Tobias founded the park on the same property where he was born and raised. He and his wife, Pauline, had seven children and the family still owns and operates the park.  J.R.’s wife still resides in the farm house which also serves as the park’s business office.  A pavilion is reserved to relax and enjoy the park. Bring your lawn chairs for more comfortable seating.  Food is available at the park or you may pack your own lunch.

 

Distance and Duration: Approximately 80 miles roundtrip.  All day street cruise.

 
                

Show-N-Shine

Friday, June 10th, 4:30-7:30 PM

 

Location: Twin Grove Campground

 

Cost: Free to all registered participants

 

Description and Duration of Activity:

Check in at the Show-N-Shine tent opens at 4:30 PM. At this time your selected classification will be verified and will be assigned a number and given a classification card to complete and place on your windshield. You will then be directed onto the show fields surrounding the event pavilions which will be set up by class.  All participants must check in by 6:00 which is when ballots will be handed out for participant’s judging. These must be completed and returned by 7:30 PM.

 

Class Descriptions:

1966-1977 Stock/LUBR (Lifted Uncut BRonco):  Must be a general representation of a stock Bronco.

  • Must have a factory available powertrain
  • Un-cut quarter panels
  • Stock style suspension (no long arms, coil overs, IFS, etc.)
  • Accessories for the year the vehicle was manufactured. 
  • Maximum 33” tire for LUBRs. 
  • Paint does not have to be original color, but must be a factory paint scheme 

    (no rally stripes, flames, etc.)

  • Stock style interior with original seat frames

1966-1977 Street Modified: Any modified Bronco not falling into the Stock/LUBR or Trail Modified class.

1966-1977 Trail Modified:  Must be a purpose built rig with at least four of the following:

  • 1 or more full locking diffs (not L/S) 
  • Beadlock wheels (internal or external)    
  • 35” + tires 
  • Full roll cage
  • Winch 
  • Rock skis/skids (not nerf bars)      
  • Long arm/4 link/coil overs
  • 3/4 or 1 ton axles    
  • T-case gearing lower than stock
  • Full hydraulic or ram assist steering     
  • Visible trail damage
  • On board air/welder

1978-1996 Class A:  32” tires and below (including Bronco II)

1978-1996 Class B:  33” tires and larger (including Bronco II)

Participant’s Favorites:Open to all classes. Winner determined by highest number of votes from any class.

Event Staff will determine final classification of questionable vehicles.

All classes are 100% participant judged.  

Solicitation of votes or stuffing the ballot box may result in disqualification at discretion of Event Staff.

Cost: $17.10 / Adults; $12.60/ Children ages 2-11 (for both the mine and train)

 

 

Description:  Scenic cruise to our destination.  The Anthracite Region of Pennsylvania offers visitors a wealth of enlightening and entertaining history. You will enjoy a tour of the Pioneer Coal Mine and ride on an old-time narrow gauge steam locomotive, the Henry Clay. Built in the 1920's, The Henry Clay takes you on a scenic three-quarter mile ride around the side of Mahanoy Mountain to show you another kind of mining called strip mining. You'll visit the Mammoth Stripping, an area where an unusually thick seam of anthracite known as the Mammoth Vein outcrops to the surface of the earth.  After leaving Pioneer Coal mine, our return trip will take us through Centralia where an underground coal fire has been burning since 1962. 

 

Distance and Duration: Approximately 50 miles round trip.  All day street cruise & tour.
